The Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse has scheduled its 6th Annual Jawbones vs Sawbones Basketball game, which is presented by the
Resurgens Charitable Foundation. Hansford McDaniel – Workers’ Compensation Attorneys,
LLC is proud to be a sponsor of this fun-filled event that helps such
a great organization and people in need of financial support. Our law
firm – along with more than 50 more law offices, rehabilitation
professionals, and other charitable parties – have donated contributions
towards the Side by Side scholarship fund, which is accessed by people
with limited means who require the group’s rehabilitation programs.

What is the Basketball Charity Game?

The Jawbones vs Sawbones Basketball charity game pits a team of legal professionals
against a team of medical doctors in a friendly game of basketball. Who
will pull ahead in the series and take the championship this year? You
are going to have to be there to witness all the fun, excitement, and
history yourself!

Important charity game information:

  • When: March 25th, 2017 at 6:00 PM
  • Where: Mercer University Atlanta Campus Gym
  • Goal: To raise $100,000+ for Side by Side scholarships

The 2016 game last year had an impressive attendance of more than 400 people.
But this year, Side by Side and our own group of Atlanta workers’
comp attorneys would love to see the stands filled. If you would like
to become a sponsor, please do not hesitate to contact Side by Side by

In addition to watching a thrilling game of basketball, sponsors in attendance
will enjoy:

  • Kid’s games with kid-friendly prizes
  • Silent auction with various items
  • Assorted raffle prizes
  • Atlanta-famous “Big Green Egg Raffle”

What Does Side by Side Do?

Side by Side is an organization that provides compassionate and personalized
rehabilitation services to adults living with traumatic brain injuries
(TBI). The focus of Side by Side is allowing this group of people to get
back into the swing of day-to-day life in any way they can, even if that
simply means relearning how to help around the house. This sense of involvement
in their communities can be an empowering, uplifting force that further
enables them to recover or cope with their lifelong disabilities.

Through charitable events like the Jawbones Vs Sawbones Basketball game
in March, families can be awarded scholarships to Side by Side. A scholarship
of around $10,000 can typically pay for an extended rehabilitation program
with Side by Side. If we can reach our goal of $100,000 this year, it
would essentially pay for 10 of these programs.
